YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE
Cary John Efurd Ministries was formed in 2022 with a single purpose in mind – to advocate for mental health, recovery from addictions and alcoholism, and to minister to the incarcerated and homeless. Many ask why we focus on mental health. Well, if you turn on the news or listen to the radio at any time, you will hear the same message – mental health is declining and addictions are rising. No matter where you live, statistics don’t lie. Self-medicating a mental health issue with drugs and/or alcohol leads to addiction and is cunning, baffling and powerful. But it doesn’t have to be.
There is not a day that goes by that Cary John Efurd Ministries doesn’t receive a call or make a visit with someone asking for help for themselves or their families. We know all about recovery. Over 38 years clean and sober, with bipolar disorder under control, a certified chaplain, and a family counseling background, we know what works and what doesn’t. When we receive those calls for help, we know where to go, who to contact, and what to say.
I’m sharing this to let you know that East Texas Giving Day (through East Texas Communities Foundation) this year is April 29, 2025. This giving day is a way for you to give to a charity/non-profit of your choice. Cary John Efurdd Ministries works with and helps support 15 various ministries in Northeast Texas to meet the needs of the homeless, prolife pregnancy centers, prison ministries, those struggling with mental health issues and addictive behaviors, and recovery habitats. This past year alone we have provided transportation, fed, housed, and provided work for many, and have counseled personally with more than 150 individuals and families. We have faithfully given financially to support people in need and have no place to turn to. We do not take a salary from the ministry.
We ask for your help in meeting our fundraising goal of $20,000. Will you consider a donation of any size to Cary John Efurd Ministries for East Texas Giving Day? Cary John Efurd Ministries believes in the transformative power of Jesus Christ. It is said you can live only 40 days without food, 4 days without water, 4 minutes without air, but not one second without hope. We know where hope is found — in Jesus Christ!
