I announced several months ago my intention to retire the end of 2014. Now here we are, 330 days; 10 months and 27 days; 7,920 hours; 475,200 minutes; or 28,512,000 seconds away from what?
Most people think of retirement in terms of sleeping late, long vacations, playing golf, going fishing, no schedule, eating bon-bons and watching Dr. Phil. But the reality for me is… forming a non-profit ministry, building the ministry, public speaking, raising awareness, leading recovery groups, counseling, training new facilitators, establishing post abortion ministries in churches.
Not sure what next year (and beyond) holds, but I am 100% sure I won’t be sitting on my laurels getting bored!
P.S. And to add fuel to the fire, my husband has announced his run for Duncanville mayor. Stay tuned … there may be a reality show in our future!
